We have now been open for 6 weeks and for the foreseeable future we will keep the opening days and hours to:
Thursdays: 06.30 - 13.30
Fridays: 06.30 - 13.30
We had planned to add Wednesdays to our open times but at the present feel this is not economically viable so for now we are staying with just Thursdays and Fridays. We will continue to monitor the situation and make the change when we feel it right to do so.
The government have made changes to how we record those visiting the café and from September 18, we will have to take contact details for people who are eating or drinking in, but not those taking away.
Until now this has been voluntary, but from Friday it becomes mandatory and will apply to every single person - not just one nominated contact if coming in a group.
We will then be required to keep the information - which is usually a name and phone number - for 21 days and hand it over to NHS Test and Trace when asked to do so.
If you do not provide details we may refuse you entry. There are fixed penalties for companies that do not comply so please provide us with your details so we don’t get fined.
To help everyone, we will be introducing a QR code system whereby you scan the code with your mobile phone and register your details when you enter the café and there will also be an exit code to scan when you leave.
If your cant use this method please let us know your details when you order so we have a record of your visit.
We will be limiting the number of seats available inside the café to 6. This is keep customers at a safe distance from each other.
Seats will be available outside but this is of course weather dependant.
You will need to queue at a safe distance outside and only enter when the previous customer has left the serving area (maximum number of people in the serving area is 2)
Wearing a face covering is currently optional so the choice is yours. We recommend the use of one if you are stood in a queue but currently this is just advice and not compulsory.
We ask that you enter from steps to the left of the café and exit using the steps to the right of the café.
Hand sanitiser will be at the entrance to the café and we request you use this before entering.
Were possible we ask that you pre order your food by calling us or texting us.
We will advise you at the time of ordering when your food will be ready for collection.
We have extra procedures to carry out each time we serve a customer and this will take extra time so please be patient with us.
Please make payment via contactless payment cards where possible but if you are unable to pay by this method then we will accept cash.
